Captain Rhett Weber has been fishing since the day he was born. Yes, Really! He took his first step aboard the Scooter when his Dad, Lee Weber (another renowned charter captain) was running it.

As a kid, he jumped from boat-to-boat working as a deckhand learning all he could from long-time captains. By the time he was 14 years old, he was earning a living as a deckhand.

His love of the water and his eagerness to know everything about fishing has made Captain Rhett one of the best in his field.

Rhett married Edna in 2009. Rhett has two beautiful children which they are raising: Ivan 4, and Kayleen 2 - already part of the crew.

Kyle Thomas is your deckhand on the SLAMMER! Another local lifer and member of a fishing family, this is Kyle's 3rd year on the Slammer.

The Charter Vessel SLAMMER

is a 48' fiberglass boat with a 14' beam.

In 2005, Rhett dropped in a 526HP John Deere diesel engine, increasing the cruise speed to 12 knots.

In 2006, she was lengthened to 48' LOA.

The SLAMMER is as close to ADA compliant as we can get: there is a 31" gate which sits flush to the dock for easy access. The entrance to the cabin is 29" and the head is 27" wide.

Prior to it's christening as the SLAMMER, she was known as Tequila, where Rhett served as the deckhand.
